I’m really looking forward to the Doctor Who Finale! With Doctors 10 and 11, I’ve laughed until I’ve cried, cried from a broken heart and felt like I was on a roller coaster watching every episode! I drew this as a doodle in my best friend’s Christmas card as she is also a big Doctor Who fan. Then I decided to digitally redraw it and turned into a homage to Doctor Eleven!
I found our loot from Greece and we were just unwrapping it…when Mummy brought in this pretty looking thing! Her good friend Tavington made it for her and it’s got Link and his extended family going “radio gaga” over it! They call it “The Mirror Shield” (from “The Legend of Zelda: The Windwaker” game, a reflective shield found in The Earth Temple)
Well, it had me curious as well! It be pretty and it be useful! I’m not sure what to be more embarrassed by though:
- Being caught red-handed stealing an empty but pretty bag.
- Or having to give up that bag to a bunch of angry kiddywinkies…
Zelda’s Army: GRRRRRRRRRR!
Alright, alright, keep ye wee pixie outfits on!
Zelda’s Army: GRRRRRRRRRR!
Alright, alright, I meant a bunch of kiddywinkies with sharp, pointy swords to poke holes in me…no thank ye, ye can have it back! No really, I’m giving it back…stop moving closer, stay back! Are ye sure ye be old enough to hold that sword?…Oh Barnacles!!!
(Looks like I’m not the only one who wants the Windwaker Mirror Shield bag! These photo shoots are fun to do in my spare time, I have found a very strange hobby!)
I turned 30 on the 16th. Most people I know went out, danced and got drunk off their faces for their 30th birthday celebrations. I decided to go to a Film Music Gala and get my photograph taken the next day at Platform 9 and 3/4 at London’s Kings Cross St Pancras Station! The attendants managing the queue sang Happy Birthday for me, sweet! Thank you so much to two of my best friends for telling me about the film gala and taking me to the station!
My friend ubermidget was over the moon with her backpack!
So much so, she showed it to all her babies!
Thank you for showing me this, it made my day!(Photo courtesy of ubermidget)
Yes, I do love this backpack very much and so does my little family of Zelda plushies! How could I not do this, hee hee!
I was commissioned to make a “Hetalia UK Mochi”, and I decided to have another go at making machine embroidered faces. After some more tests and getting the right stabilisers to hold the fabric in place in my hoop, my machine finally did its job right! I added felt for the eyebrows, a British flag cake-topper, some glitter stickers and ribbons to complete the little guy. He’s off to the USA by airmail now, I hope!
I set up a side blog to put up my fan-art illustrations in. I’ve gone under the name “superlittle*. If you wish to see them and follow that blog too, you can find them here: http://superlittle.tumblr.com
WARNING: NSFW, and BL. If you can handle all that, see you over at “super little” too! ^_^
I forgot to put this up! I was commissioned to make a plush head of “Sally” from “Nightmare before Christmas”, as a companion for a “Jack” head that I’d made earlier. Materials used are felt, Copic markers (nose and eye liner), thread (embroidery) and polyester stuffing.
Mondays are usually days that I don’t like and prefer to just wipe off the schedule. Today is no ordinary Monday for me though!
I ordered a few small clothes and accessories from Build a Bear workshop to make some dolls with. Order arrived in a big box last week. I thought “Crikey, that’s a big box for such a small order!” I open the box today. Inside, is a “Rainbow Dash” My Little Pony plush in a ball gown dress. By God, it’s lovely! Not my order though, I have to be responsible and send it back…
So I call up Build a Bear and explain the situation. I’m told that the wrong order I received, was already re-sent out. Whoever didn’t get their Rainbow Dash pony, has it now. So they will resend me my original order and to save hassle, I get to keep the pony in its dress. In a nutshell, I got a free Rainbow Dash plush in a ball gown dress. As a life-long My Little Pony fan (since age 4, now I’m 29 - hey, they’re cute, you should know by now that I like cute things!), I’m over the moon! :D
I’m in Greece this week with my Mum, getting lots of inspiration from Mykonos and Athens. Expect to see some Greek themed art from me soon! I’ve fallen in love with the jewellery, glass art, the ceramic jars with the ancient greek figures on…it’s all so beautiful and they all have labels on with “Made in Greece”! Ethnic pride, ahem! XD
But last night, we heard that my Grandad Kypros is in hospital with pneumonia and other things wrong with his body. He’s a stubborn and shouty kind of man, I hope he can fight his illness and get well soon. He’s in his 90s, we may have to wait and see…:’(
Also, we heard the news on the Boston marathon explosions. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected. The news from Syria is also breaking my heart too…
